Day 1 of Badass training

Hello and happy Monday… I’m not sure happy and Monday should really be in the same sentence!!?! My Monday wasn’t too terrible and I hope you escaped the day without any scratches or bruises, either!

Today I started working with a trainer at a new gym. I joined a smaller gym that offers CrossFit. While I’m not ready for it YET- it’s definitely on my to-do list. Until then, I train with Rick, one of the club’s owners 2x a week for 30 minutes. Quite honestly, that’s all I can afford- Personal Training is expensive! But I needed and wanted to do this for myself. I need to get my groove back ’cause I ain’t been groovin’ in about a year. I’m disappointed. I’m sad. I feel ugly. And knowing what it feels like to be a much more fit woman is an awesome feeling.

It’s a feeling of total badass-ness. And I’m going back.

Today we reviewed some of the machines in the gym and did cardio. We went over my calorie intake… 1600-1700 calories to eat per day sounds like a truck load! No wonder I lost so much weight last year – I damn near starved myself, netting 1200 calories or less on a very consistent basis.

I weighed in and nearly choked. It’s bad. But it’ll get better! I’m eager to see what Rick has in store for me these next 3 months and I’m looking forward to regaining badass status.
